Erik de Vries is a founder and manager of companies specializing in the development of healthcare real estate in locations throughout the U.S. Additionally, Mr. de Vries provides healthcare consulting services representing operators and medical building landlords.

In 2020, Mr. de Vries founded Astrea Development providing real estate development, healthcare consulting, and asset management services. Astrea holds several unique developments and holdings including: buy and sale side consulting of a large post-acute care portfolio in 2022, sale of a mixed use development in Jackson, Wyoming in 2023, the ground up development of a portfolio of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in Texas, Florida and Wisconsin beginning in 2021 and grown to 9 facilities open, under construction or in development in 2024. In 2011, Mr. de Vries founded Cobalt Medical Development growing it to a leading healthcare real estate development and operations company managing all of its strategy, financing, investments, new business and operations through its private equity sale in 2019.

Mr. de Vries holds a masters degree in communications, a Texas real estate license, and is former semi-professional tennis player.
