For 15 years, Mr. de Vries has been a leader in the development of healthcare real estate and has developed several mixed-use projects, collectively in 10 states. In 2011, he founded Cobalt Medical Development and grew it to a leading post-acute care real estate development and operations company managing the company launch, platform, employees, strategy, financing, investments, new business and operations. The company consisted of approximately 300 employees, the development and operations sale of seven rehabilitation hospitals, three senior living facilities and one mixed use development.

Prior to Cobalt, Mr. de Vries served in management roles in the development and acquisition of a portfolio of medical office buildings, surgery centers, inpatient physical rehabilitation hospitals and mixed use projects.

Mr. de Vries, his wife and son reside in Dallas, Texas. Mr. de Vries is licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission; he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University and a Master’s degree in Science and Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mr. de Vries is a YPO North Texas member and he is a former semi-professional tennis player.
